Greater Judgment on America is Imminent
"Judgment"! That what Bill Bright, founder and president of Campus Crusade for over 50 years instantly said to my question in 1998, "What is God saying to America now?" Dr. Bright had just finished another 40-day fast for America.
Billy Graham apparently said in the late 70’s that “if God doesn’t judge America soon He will have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.” The outpouring of repentance in the three Washington’s for Jesus and other similar events may have bought time for America, but that time is up.
Recently, the Lord seemed to strongly show me that “Time is Up!” America’s God-given season of extended mercy is over. He is not going to wait any longer to bring greater, more severe judgment on our land due to its relentless, growing decadent sin that is infecting many other nations who look to America for leadership in media and culture.
Most people may not want to hear any more about this subject, but it you do, click here to see my blog called His Severe Mercy. Several national Christian leaders are quoted saying that God is about to judge America severely. God is looking for repentance in His Church for their sins and the sins of America. ( 2 Chron 7:13-14). God is looking for churches to call sin sin and call people to repentance. Time is up for playing church as usual. That’s what I believe the Lord is saying to His Church now. May God confirm His word to His Church.
Two Hampton Roads Churches Under Fire By Their Bishop
No more dramatic reason of why God has to judge America is the increasing number of Christian denominations who are ordaining practicing, non-repentant gay pastors. The United Church of Christ, the Presbyterian Church (USA) and The American Episcopal Church all teach that their churches can ordain homosexuals as pastors. Despite 3000 years of Judeo-Christian teaching and example, the leaders of these three denominations now believe that God approves of homosexuality. Two former Episcopal churches now face the loss of all their church property so wanting to follow the Bible instead of their denominations new theology on sexuality. Messiah Church in Chesapeake ( formerly the Episcopal Church of the Messiah) with Senior Pastor Marty O’Rourke in Chesapeake and Galilee Church ( formerly Galilee Episcopal Church) in Virginia Beach with Senor Pastor Dr. Coleman Tyler are being threatened by their bishop to get in line with denominational policies or lose their buildings. You can read many more details about this on Galilee’s website at http://www.galileechurch.net/faq/article-1999922930c439548.htm and on Messiah’s website at http://www.churchofthemessiah.org/
David Wilkerson predicted churches would ordain gays in his 1973 book, The Vision. Few believed it could happen in America. Now it has and God now has no choice but to severely discipline America and His wayward Church for it. Please pray for both of these godly, courageous churches.
If pastors want to sign a petition to the local Episcopal bishop, appealing to him to Messiah Church to leave the denomination with its property, contact Apostles Lutheran Church. They are helping coordinate this petition for Messiah Church. Call 757-547-4692 or email to office@Apostles-Lutheran.org
I urge every pastor who loves the truth of the scripture to stand with Messiah and Galilee in any way they can—to include prayer for them in your Sunday services. This battle is just the beginning of other battles for the soul of the American Church that is under attack today. A house divided will not stand against strong evil. That evil is not coming…it is here.
